Rule book


The members of the jury: Zoltan Kiss, Matyas Veer, Brian Hecht, Corpus Trombone Quartet, Nico Schippers, Matt Gee
This is a join competition for tenor and bass trombone.
Six finalists (3 tenor and 3 bass), selected from a preliminary recorded round, will be chosen by international judging panels. Those applicants selected as finalists will be invited to perform in a live final round at the Hungarian Trombone Bootcamp during August 21-24, 2019 at the BMC Music Center Budapest. There are 3 prize winners of this competition.

The invitation not including the cost of: accomodation, food and travel expenses.

The six selected finalists can participate in all festival events and the festival's gala concert, but this option does not include individual lessons with the professors. If you'd like to have 6x30 minutes individual lessons, please sign up for the HTBC festival.


Submission Instructions:
 
The required repertoire should be submitted as a single video file, recorded from a single, uninterrupted camera angle. 
Accepted file formats include: MP4, MPEG, MPG, MOV, AVI, WMV. We are welcome recordings made by mobile phone. The video file should be named "your family name+htbc2019".
No editing of either video or audio is allowed.
The submitted file must not contain any identifying information.
No written signs, nametags or other written material is to be visible in the video.
The performer should be clearly visible in the video throughout the performance.
Please send your video file to our email address ( hungariantrombonecompetition@gmail.com ) via wetransfer, dropbox, google drive, or mailbigfile. We accept your application as soon as we receive your video file and payment.
The application fee is 80€. This is not refundable.
